Materials

At Poly South Plastics, we specialize in handling and repurposing three key types of plastic: PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), and PP (Polypropylene). These materials are integral to numerous industries due to their versatility, durability, and recyclability. We ensure that these high-quality recycled plastics find new life in various applications, particularly in sectors such as strapping, fiber production, and packaging. Our commitment to sustainability is matched by our dedication to serving industries with reliable, eco-friendly materials that help them achieve their production goals while minimizing environmental impact.

Polyethylene Terephthalate

Polyethylene Terephthalate, commonly known as PET, is a highly valued plastic for its clarity, strength, and lightweight properties. Recycled PET finds extensive use in the fiber industry for producing clothing, strapping, carpets, and other textile products. Additionally, its safe and non-reactive nature makes it ideal for packaging solutions, especially in the food and beverage sector, where it's used for creating containers and bottles.

High-Density Polyethylene

High-Density Polyethylene, or HDPE, is prized for its strength-to-density ratio, making it an ideal candidate for products that require durability. In the piping industry, recycled HDPE provides a robust solution. UV resistant systems for outdoor or industrial applications. It's also widely used in the manufacturing of containers and bottles, offering a sturdy and safe packaging option for various products.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene, abbreviated as PP, is known for its versatility and high resistance to various chemical solvents, bases, and acids. In the packaging industry, PP is used to create containers that need to withstand high temperatures, such as microwavable food containers. Its resilience and lightweight nature also make it a popular choice in the fiber industry for manufacturing ropes, thermal underwear, and various types of indoor and outdoor carpets.
